Why don't we offer a shipping option?
Your time is worth money. Here are the cost-saving benefits of downloading your game:
If we offered your game on CD-ROM it would have the exact same game files you will download
(or that we'll email to you if you need us to).
- Downloading is absolutely free while shipping your game on CD has added shipping and handling costs plus sales tax.
- Downloading is fast - no waiting. Obviously shipping your game will take a few days to get to you.
- Downloading helps the environment by eliminating the need for plastic cases and CDs as well as eliminates the emissions made by the various vehicles it takes to deliver your game.
- Downloading and printing from your own computer saves you time: no driving to your local print shop, explaining what you want done, driving back to home, driving again to pick up the finished product or waiting around for the finished product.
- Printing on your own printer saves you money: Average cost per black and white page: 1 to 3 cents; average cost per color page: 5 to 7 cents. It costs an average of 5 to 8 cents for each black and white copy at a print shop and an average of 75 to 90 cents per color page. Paper runs about 2 cents a piece on average.
Please remember, we're here to help. If you have any trouble with your download, contact us. We'll email your game files and help in any way we can.
REVIEW: "Your Kovert Kids scavenger hunt went great! The 10 year old girls had a lot of fun and it kept them busy for hours and no fighting! I am very appreciative of having found the scavenger hunt on the internet! I wanted to do something like this, but didn't have the time to come up with my own idea, so this was great! Thanks a billion!" Karla O'Connell, Decorah IA
The 3 software programs you'll need when you order your game:
1) WinZip or similar program for PC users or Unstuffit or similar program for Mac users. Your game documents will be contained in a .zip file (think of it as a container or folder). Winzip (or Unstuffit) opens that container so you can get to the game documents.
If you don't have zip software already installed on your computer, download free software here:
- FOR WINDOWS USERS, use the FREE ZipGenius - http://www.download.com/ZipGenius/3000-2250_4-10179818.html
- FOR MAC USERS, you should have compression utility software on the latest versions of your computer. If not try the FREE MacZip: http://download.cnet.com/MacZip/3000-2250_4-10025248.html?tag=mncol;2
2) Microsoft Word or similar word processing software (like Microsoft Works).
Don't have ANY word processing software on your computer? Try the free OpenOffice software.
3) Some games require the most current version of Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Again, if you have ANY trouble opening ANYTHING, just email Haley Productions. We will help.
REVIEW: "Thanks for a great scavenger hunt - I modified to work with my guys (4 nine year old boys) and they had an absolute blast. It was money well spent and I could not have made it near as fun." Scott Koehn, Staunton, VA
Options/Ideas for Our Games That Require Digital Cameras
OPTION 1: Ask parents of those participating in the scavenger hunt to bring their digital cameras. Almost everyone has a digital camera these days and you should be able to find enough to supply each team with a camera (and perhaps a parent to take the photos if you don't think the kids should handle the camera).
OPTION 2: Use smart phone cameras.
OPTION 3: You can time each section of the game so only 1 or 2 teams have a camera at a time.
Here's an example:
Part 1: 30 minutes
- Teams 1 and 2: get the picture challenges only
- Team 3 and 4: get the collection challenges only
All teams return in 25 minutes to get the next part of the game.
Part 2: 30 minutes
- Teams 3 and 4: get the picture challenges only
- Team 1 and 2: get the collection challenges only
All teams do the project challenges at the same time.
